The author from the Hungarian Institute of Agricultural Engineering recalls the most important conclusions of the remarkable article titled “Winners and losers among enterprises in Hungary” by the Agricultural Economics Research Institute, published in the scientific journal on agricultural economics “Gazdálkodás”. Furthermore, by presenting the role and importance of small and big enterprises, as well as private holdings and partnerships, he analyses the overall situation of Hungarian agriculture, machinery, machine operation and the problems of holding size.

We have given account several times of the initiation of the Ministry of Rural Development regarding the growers’ organizations over the borders. They intend to pay special attention to the relations with the growers living there which, let’s admit it, has not received sufficient attention. They wish to change this and we would like to support them in doing that. Therefore, we accept any paper reporting on events of public interest that could strengthen the relationship between the Hungarians beyond and within the borders of Hungary. Our reports titled “Without frontiers” are prepared with this having in mind.
