About cereal market in a nutshell
(Dr. Norbert Potori)
Though in the winter months wheat prices have come close to the peak of the economic year of 2007/2008 both in Europe and overseas, there is no shortage of the products at global level. The total production of cereal crops (excluding maize) will increase at a much slower rate in the forthcoming ten years according to the expectations, because farmers prefer growing maize and oilseed crops. The author from the Agricultural Economics Research Institute deals with this issue.
